How do I disable McAfee Anti-Virus?

I have Windows XP with McAfee Anti-Virus. I need to disable the Anti-Virus for a short time untill I change my HP printer from a USB to a Network connection. I am able to disable the firewall ok but stuck with the Anti-Virus.
      Please can anyone help me?

To temporarily turn off VirusScan do the following:

Double-click the taskbar icon to open Security Center
          Click Advanced Menu (bottom left)
          Click Configure (left)
Click Computer & Files (top left)
You can disable VirusScan in the right-hand module and tell it for how long.

Thanks for your reply. If I click on my McAfee in the tool bar (Bottom Left) it does'nt open anything, to go to Start then Control Panel, then Windows Security Centre I can disable the Firewall but not the Anti-Virus.
If it makes any difference my McAfee I have connected is through my ISP which is o2. They can do this for me at a cost of £15 which I think is a little steep. But may have to if it can't be resolved any other way.
Thanks again for your quick and detailed reply.

Maybe there's something special about the o2 version. You could try Technical Support Chat, linked at top left of this page.
