Are you sure you're using MOVE (McAfee for Virtualized Environments)? Sounds like you're either a consumer, or enterprise desktop user?
I would assume it's Consumer so I will move this if you think I should.
In answer to the question you can always download a fresh copy of the software from your account online but in order to have a license available I suggest you uninstall it before you reformat the machine. If that isn't possible you should contact Customer Service if the online account tells you no license is available.
