You mean the license is still showing as used by an old machine? The software would have had to have been uninstalled from that machine in the normal manner for the account to be freed up.
If that is no longer possible Customer Service may be able to free it up for you. See the link below. (2nd one starting with Consumer)

Login to McAfee home (https://home.mcafee.com) from your Father's PC and see if you are able to find the active subscription that an be downloaded. If you are not able to see it then click on View Active link at Subscriptions page.

hi, thanks for your reply.. I followed the steps you mentioned but I am not able to find the active subscription. My daughters laptop and my computer are still protected. What would be the best thing for me to do?
