What happens when you right-click the taskbar icon and select "Verify Subscription" ? Have you tried rebooting since doing that?

which taskbar are you referring to? Is the "verify subscription" under the "your subscription" page?
I tried redownloading and keying the activation key,but it states that it has been registered already.
I am using Windows 8,lenovo.
So you don't yet have the software installed, sorry, I misunderstood the question. Hopefully our resident technician will be along sometime today but in the meanwhile I would try contacting Customer Service to have them check the account and they can then connect you with Technical Support if necessary.

I may be mistaken, but I think Ex_Brit means.."Right Click" on the McAfee Icon lower right hand side of Task Bar, near the clock,then click on "Verify Subscription" and wait and see if it does....

Well if it's installed the taskbar would of course be on the Desktop app in Win 8.
I already downloaded the software.I contacted the customer service already but they havent replied me yet. I have both mcafee central and the mcafee lifesafe but i can't find the verify subscription option though...
I just clicked "verify subscription" and it just says mcafee has verified and after i open my mcafe application it still says 29 days remaining.
