Can you please clarify on which policies, products, if possible? Any policy backups? You loose any client tasks?
It appears to apply to all policies that are in affect. We use DCM, HIPS, VSE, PA, and baseline monitor. i have a current backup that I did before the update and no loss of client tasks or enforced policies. I just can't edit the settings after the update.
I was hoping not to undo my progress, but if I need to revert, I can.
Could you please check if you have latest product extension checked in into new version.
If you have a backup of the differents policy catalogs, I recommend you;
- firstly to go in the extension menu and delete DCM, HIPS, VSE, PA extensions.
-secondly, install then the DCM, HIPS, VSE, PA extensions.
-And then import the backup
I agree with ansarias that you check for the latest extensions for these products if possible.
Be very careful when it comes to extensions. If you should consider the deletion or removal of an extension, the policy catalog counterpart will also be removed along with other important areas. That would mean that when you add the extension for the product back in, they will be the McAfee defaults. You would then need to re-establish the policies. You should also note the different policies and where they are in your system tree before you ever remove. My advise it to open a ticket with McAfee if you have support and have someone login and take a look at your environment, and step away from the keyboard before you do something you regret.
