First of all, if McAfee global updating is enable on the epo server client systems don't have DAT at the same time.
Many reasons can explain why somes systems do not have the lastest version of DAT:
- maybe McAfee agenti is corrupted and cannot communicate with the epo server
- Also check the last communication to time to see if those systems are still connect to your network.
- Some users can be in holidays so their computers are not running!
You can try to reinstall McAfee agent in some systems with very old DAT
Willsonlebig , I found Many workstations are communicating very will every day but don't have the correct DAT version, Do you agree with me that the agent is fine.
I saw log on those workstations , communication is OK. But it looks user turn OFF machine before the update schadule task starts.
So no need to re install agent.
Below Is an Example for three WKSs , Please correct me if I am wrong :
CAIRASVDWKS23 10.203.17.234 7527.0000 8/18/14 6:31:15 AM (last communication) DAT file is 7527.0000
YYZRASVDWKS02 10.204.7.193 7527.0000 8/12/14 11:04:42 AM (last communication) DAT file is 7527.0000
CAIRASVDWKS21 10.203.17.173 7527.0000 8/18/14 11:47:41 AM (last communication) DAT file is 7527.0000
it is also a cause of problem of update.
In fact, if users turn off their computer before the time scheduled for the update task, the concerned computers will not download DAT that days.
So you have to tell the users not to shutdown the computer. Or you can schedule the update task in the meantime where most of the user computer are running. For example from 08 AM to 10 AM
