Sounds as if Kapersky is still not fully uninstalled. maybe confirm you have the correct removal tool and if McAfee still does not install
Support link and the McAfee removal instructions in my signature below I would also run the McAfee removal process before retrying the next install.

Please can you show us a screen capture of the error you are getting?
click on the start button(windows logo on Vista)
on the field "start search" type "cmd" without the quotes, an icon will appear on the top part.
right click on that icon then select "Run as Administrator"
type "regsvr32 jscript.dll" without the quotes on the black window that will apear then press Enter(A message will appear confirming that the process was successful)
type "regsvr32 vbscript.dll" without the quotes then press Enter(A message will appear confirming that the process was successful).
restart your PC then try downloading McAfee again this time instead of clicking on "Run" click on "Save" and save the dmsetup on your desktop. Right click on the dmsetup located on the desktop then select "Run as Administrator".
