I have deployed SAE 18.104.22.1684 to computers in my environment and noticed that computers running Windows 8.1 keep getting a failed message during the installation. However, SAE does appear to be installed on the client computer and work OK. When I look at that same computer from ePO 4.6 or 5.1 (I'm in the middle of an upgrade and have both servers setup) SAE doesn't show up in the list of installed products. NOTE: the computer is not being managed by both servers simultaneously; I saw the behavior in 4.6, transferred the machine, and then saw it in 5.1 as well. This happens with multiple Windows 8.1 computers.
Any tips would be greatly appreciated.
Hi pcuellar, the error message when deploying SAE with the Run Task Now appears often but doesn't mean it isn't installed (as you see).
As per the product not showing under installed products, can you post the McAfee Agent version deployed on the 8.1 computer along with McAfee Agent and SiteAdvisor Extensions versions?
