      Hi,

       

      I am the newbiw to handle McAfee IPS product which is intrushield. what is "read exposure"? how it work? please enlighten me. Thanks

              Hi anitachoi, "read exposure" is not a feature or functionality. Network Security Platform has several categories to categorize attacks and these categories are organized in subcategories and one of these subcategories is "read exposure". Read exposure are those attacks that "suggest that  a breach of confidentiality has occurred. Examples include directory traversal, dump of file content such as CGI

              script, or read of other sensitive data files such as password and database records." (Extracted from IPS Administration Guide)
