McAfee Anti-Theft and Windows 8.1 64 bit - Vault remain unlocked on boot

    flyingdoc

I have  Windows 8.1 64 bit on HP i7 laptop with McAfee Total Protection

Product Name:VirusScan - McAfee Total Protection
      Product Version:17.6.293

      .

McAfee Vaults remains unlocked on boot if I do not lock it before shutdown.

Unable to access files or lock vault - have to go to command prompt and copy vault to new file and then it works.

Never had this problem with Win7-32 bit on my previous PC.

Despite three reinstall of mcafee total protection - MVT gives two errors

Is it a compatibility problem with 64 bit windows?

The problem is troublesome enough to want to migrate to another program. Plesae advise!
