1 Have you ever had another Antivirus installed ever?
2. If so run its removal tool after running Mcafee removal tool
reboot after running Mcafee's tool and run the other AV's tool.
Reinstall from your account.
If you did not have another AV run the Mcafee removal method as described above and in my Signature followed after a reboot with the mcpreinstall tool reinstall mcafee.
If it fails call technical support
If you get an error when running teh mcpr removal tool read
I do not have any other AV software installed.
I uninstalled McAffee oprograms, rebooted and ran MCPR.
It Did not work. Same error again!
Hmm I have pinged a tech to popin Told him it is urgent. Alternatively you can call support. If level 1 support cannot help ask to escalate the issue. howver the tech I pinged is in the top level of support so give him a chance to see my email.
While waiting best to see if this attachment deleting is not cauused by any thing nasty. run several of the free scanner I have in the link in my signature. ie getsusp ( add your email to the preferences so Mcafee can update you to what they found) try also stinger and malwarebytes (free version only do not accept the premium trial as it can clash with Mcafee)
Ok see you ran getsusp and stinger so try malwarebytes and another of the scanners mentioned
