Legacy boot with TPM and autoboot? DE7.1

    joe_nismo

I'm trying to enable TPM autoboot on a test pc and the log contiunes to report the same error:

      ------------------------------------------

2014-06-20 15:08:54,963 ERROR   SystemAutoboot                       Could not enable TPM for Autoboot at this time, and it is mandatory in policy.

2014-06-20 15:08:54,964 ERROR   SystemAutoboot                       Mandatory TPM Autoboot policy can only be enabled after at least one restart following activation, as the boot sequence through pre-boot has to be measured.

2014-06-20 15:08:54,964 ERROR   SystemAutoboot                       Please restart the system and authenticate through pre-boot to enable mandatory TPM Autoboot.

      -------------------------------------

Is this only supported with a UEFI boot?  Can I not utilize the TPM hardware and autoboot in Legacy bios boot?  I've deployed Bitlocker using TPM and legacy boot so I was assuming I could.

      Things I've tried:

      Enable TPM in bios

TPM mmc to activate in windows

Rebooting numerous times in between all remediation steps

      Hardware:

      Dell Optiplex 9020

      Dell Bios A03 dated 9/17/13

      Software:

      ePO 4.6.7

      Agent 4.8

      Drive Encryption 7.1

      Much thanks!
