Is 'Email Protection' product the same as Email Security for Exchange or different products?

      See http://www.mcafee.com/uk/products/email-protection.aspx

I would say they're different. My understanding of the two web pages you linked are..

Email Security for Exchange is software installed on the mail server.

Email Protection is a combination of a cloud based mail scanning and a dedicated hardware appliance.

            In http://www.mcafee.com/uk/products/email-protection.aspx

            Look at "Modules" Tab

McAfee Security for E-mail servers are products installed on the local  Exchange/Domino Servers.

            i.e.

            McAfee Security for Microsft Exchange

            McAfee Security for Lotus Domino

To add a bit more detail for those unfamiliar with McAfee Email Protection - it is a secure email gateway solution, which performs both inbound and outbound scanning of SMTP traffic. This sits in front of your email server, and can be deployed as a hardware appliance, virtual appliance, Software-as-a-Service, or a hybrid combination. Also included are capabilities including click-time link scanning which uses the McAfee Gateway Anti-Malware engine, built-in outbound data loss prevention, built-in email encryption, and available integration with McAfee Advanced Threat Defense for malware sandboxing and analysis.
