hello, we are encounterign an issue on a PC with Win8 and Outlook 2013. Outlook 2013 does not always show personal folders at start up.  When outlook is restarted, they would show up. We are thinking someting might we related with the antivirus program and Outlook not exiting properly. some help will be appreciated. We are using MCAfee LifeSafe Internet Security.

      thanks,

      rgrds

Not sure what would do that but you could check Firewall permissions.   Open SecurityCenter  and click Web and Email Security, Firewall, then Internet Connections for Programs.

Click the word Program to rearrange them alphabetically.

Locate Outlook and make sure it has full permission.

Other than that suggestion I can't think of any reason why that should happen.
