We can't help you in home products I'm afraid. Moved this provisonally to Web Gateway for better attention but can move it again if necessary.
Please do not attach samples to posts.
On second thoughts, Malware Discussion > Corporate User Assistance is the best spot for it, so have moved it to that area.
Dispute false findings directly with McAfee Labs: https://secure.mcafee.com/apps/mcafee-labs/dispute-form.aspx?region=us
If something is identified, maybe wrongly as "Artemis" then McAfee already knows about it. Merely send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org with the Artemis detection name and the words "False Artemis!++++++" (where ++++ is the code given to it) as the subject line. (Minus the ""). Also post in the Artemis forum with the Artemis!xxxxxxx number as the header and put an explanation in the body of the post. That gives you a double chance at getting it dealt with quickly.
Sorry, in case you are reading the above before I amended it please redisplay the thread as I made amendments to my post above.
Why no response?
From 27 February, I reported to email@example.com a few times about the false diagnosis of viruses in my programs.
Why no response and this diagnosis is not changed?
I repeat again:
McAfee and McAfee-GW-Edition generate a false report of a virus in my programs, which are made using licensed Visual Studio 2008 and free library WCRT (C++).
I see this information on http://virustotal.com:
These files are part of a free portable audio player.
Link to installation archive: http://albumplayer.ru/AP2100_EN.zip
Path to problem files in the archive:
I request to fix this problem.
Try the Web Gateway method then see this article: https://kc.mcafee.com/corporate/index?page=content&id=KB62662
Sorry but the service portal should really be helping you as I am on the home product side.
