    If you own McAfee web gateway w/ Progress Indication  page enabled....

      If you have Common Rules> Progress Indication>  Progress Page enabled in MWG policy, the service portal will break for you in certain circumstances.  

       

      If you follow a link to webmer to attach a mer to an SR when you're creating the SR,  your SR will get pretty messed up and you won't be able to get directly back to it, probably encountering a blank step 1 again.   The partially filled SR I do believe gets saved, but you have to manually url navigate to get back to your SR list to get to it.

       

      I've reported the issue to McAfee who has been able to reproduce it, and has agreed that it's better to fix it in the service portal than to ask every web gateway customer to modify their configuration to accomodate the new portal as an exception to the default progress page rule.
