I´m migrating 02 sensor from Manager 6.1 to Manager 7.5. I installed the 7.5 in another virtual server and manually applied the configs from 6.1 to 7.5.
The fact is that when i try to do a "Deploy Configuration Changes" to the sensors, in Manager 7.5, i get this message below:
"Cannot set file transfer action to sensor"
The manager is 220.127.116.11
The sensor is an M-6050 with software version 18.104.22.168
Does anyone know about this?
That error message sounds like a network connectivity issue. The logs will give more details, but I would recommend confirming network connectivity on port 8500 UDP from manager to sensor and ports 8501 - 8504 TCP from sensor to manager.
Wireshark can be used on the manager to confirm connectivity.
I´ll confirm that these ports are open, but i think they are.
If i do a "status" command line, all channels are "UP" and the sensor and the manager are in the same subnet, we dont have a firewall between them. The old Manager (6.1) is in this same subnet too. If i return the sensor the the old manager, things work, if i migrate them to the new manager, i receive the error message.
I´ll take a look at ems.log trying to get some helpful information.
Any other log that you recommend to look for?
I found out the reason: the imported "Policy Rules" (an xml file) from Manager 6.1 was corrupted and when i assigned it to any interface port, the message was shown.
With any other Policy Catalog i didnt have any problem.
Thanks all for the attention,
