How does EPO define an unmanaged system

    tenent224

I understand that an unmanaged system is a computer object in AD (AD sync) that doesn't have an agent installed on it, but how else is this defined? We have a large enterprise and the number of unmanaged devices fluctuates daily by 50-100 devices.

      Lets go with bullet points

      1. How does EPO define an unmanaged device?

      2. How could an unmanaged device be removed from EPO without manual deletion by an admin?

      3. Does a managed device ever become unmanaged due to lack of contact with the server, or any other scenario?

      4. Is my assumption correct that the unmanaged devices are just AD computer objects that need to be cleaned up because they no longer correspond to an active computer on the network?

Thank you in advance for any assistance.
