No it's probably just a corruption that happened when you updated browsers. Keep IE11 as it is more secure than previous versions.
First try running the Virtual Technician as it often can find and fix problems by itself: http://mvt.mcafee.com/
If that doesn't fix it go to Control Panel > Programs & Features and uninstall McAfee from there.
Then run the MCPR cleanup tool and reboot.
Go to your online account page and reinstall the software from there.
Moved this to VirusScan as a more appropriate spot.
