Java Update - McAfee Unchecked - Folder Installed

    geomg

Firstly, I tried doing some research here and the best I could find was this thread:

      https://community.mcafee.com/thread/49715?start=0&tstart=0

And one sentence in one post reads as follows:

I've seen that packaged or bundled software in Java and Adobe downloads.   There is an option not to include it however, but it's easily missed.

I saw that uncheck on both units that I updated my Java on this time around, yet I still found the McAfee folder installed on both units.

Besides my belief that I unchecked the appropriate box on both units I also have this that I found in thelog file

'jre-7u45-windows-i586-iftw000[dot]log' that can be found in that McAfee folder in ProgramData.

Timestamp is JST, by the way.

I believe the reason we see all that "does not exist" is because I unchecked the box for the scan.

In addition, no scan took place, although I don't know when it should have started scanning.

My first question is whether anyone can confirm that the file with all the "does not exist" listings is evidence I unchecked those boxes?

I'd like to follow up on this issue after an answer is (answers are) posted, if that's okay.

      Thank you.
