    Security Centre update12.8.750


      On 27/9 Security Scan updated itself to version 12.8.750.  Since then no scanning, either real time, on demand or scheduled, has been allowed.  I cannot get Windows (8) Action Centre to turn scanning on either.   I was able to turn real time scanning on from the security centre then it went off again.  Furthermore, every time I switch on the PC it tells me about the update and asks me to restart the PC.   Is this a general problem?  or just with Windows 8?  How can I solve it?  I don't want to use that PC until the matter can be resolved....nor do I want to be updated on this PC if it is going to be an issue.
