    Issue after changing the motherboard in EEPC 7.x installed machine.

      Hi All,

       

      Recently we have changed the motherboard of EEPC installed client machine. Once machine started communicate with epo and after changing the motherboard. Client machine goes to LOST&FOUND and users removed from the client machine. Can anyone please suggest why this was happened ?

       

      Operating System : Windows 8

       

      Laptop Model : lenovo X230

          Hi,

           

          this post might be better placed in the ePO section. Basically, ePO does a couple of checks to determine whether a machine is new or does already exists. The first criteria to check is if the agent GUID is known. If yes then it updates the record, if not then it checks if the MAC address is known. If yes (but not the GUID) then it still updates the existing record  but if not (so both agent guid and MAC are not known)  then it assumes its a new object and adds it applying the criteria you have set in ePO (if none then it will go into LOST&FOUND). There are some more rules involved but these are the 'main' ones. As the machine is new it will have no users assigned to it.

            Hi Reiner,

             

            Thanks for quick reply, Is there any options or log entry to find when the machine is created a duplicate entry in the epo console.
