No I don't believe this is possible.
thank you very much for your prompt reply.
Just another question: the clients with EEPC 6.2 continue to work and aren't affected from the new version of EEPC because the policy already installed are enforcing every 5 minutes (I don't need to change 6.2 policy on these clients), isn't? If it's true I can plan to switch from to 6.2 to 7.0 on more days.
the later extensions are always backwards compatible, so you should be able to mange both v6 and v7 machines from the v7 extension.
Is it correct information?
As I wrote here https://community.mcafee.com/message/302933#302933 the answer of support team was:
EEPC (admin / agent) extensions 7.0.2 are not compatiblewith any prior version. I am afraid you will need to plan an upgrade pathfollowing the best practices guide for EEPC.
Could you please clarify what is correct?
Fausto is correct. if you let me know the ticket number I'll make sure the support person is updated.
it is true that v7 is not compatible with v5 (different management center), but it is backwards compatible within EPO. Obviously though there are going to be features listed in the v7 extension which your v6 machines are not going to be able to perform.
I sent you ticket number.
