    Confirmed virus but unable to remove

      This virus wasn't as aggressive as now in the past: just slow-running programs.

      Then a  chain of events happened: RealTime Scanning kept turning off for a while, programs started to stop responding and blue screen of deaths. Installed Virtual Technician but didn't help. Disk Defrag and Cleanup was also unresponsive.

      Today this happened:
      Task Manager refused to open (indication of a virus, Microsoft Support said)

      Updates show they are on, but can't check for updates.

      McAfee SecurityCenter couldn't be reinstalled.

      New McAfee installation setup stopped responding.

      Microsoft Safety Scanner stopped responding.

       

      Please help. My computer is still quite new and I do not want to buy a new computewr or wipe all my data.

      Specs:

      Windows 7 with 4GB RAM, 3GHz CPU
