    scheduled scan suddenly taking a long time


      We have a scheduled scan job that runs nightly (11:00 PM), scanning all of our PCs and laptops.  One of these laptops has been successfully scanned in under 2 hours . . . until last week, when the scan was suddenly running long into the next morning and causing the laptop to slow to a crawl.  The user ended up rebooting in order to get the scan to stop.  Any ideas why this might be happening?  He did not install any new software, and hasn't stored a bunch of new, huge files on his machine.  Really, not much has changed, except the scan.
