I have helped many customers set this up with Cisco switches. I cant say if any were Nexus, but I can't imagine the process would be that different.
Are you having specific issues that we can assist with?
The Cisco Nexus series switches cannot have duplicate/broadcast/multicast static entry in the MAC address-table.
I can enter a static MAC address (I used 0026.ccbb.50aa) on port e 3/1. When I issue the same command but port e3/2 it overwrites the first entry in the static mac address-table.
Wow, that is unfortunate. I think then the only options would be to use the unicast flooded option (which is not ideal, but it should work) or the IGMP option (which requires the switches to support IGMP snooping)
Or maybe contact Cisco to see why the behavior is like this.
Unless someone else has run into this and has an idea.
