If RTS is off you could have been infected by now it is the feature of Mcafee that scans all files copied or opened so first scan with the following
Has Mcafee been updating ie is it upto date in the virusscan engine? If so do a scan of the drives.
1. Getsusp Add your email address to the preferences so Mcafee can contact you.
3. Malwarebytes install the free version not the trial of the full version
I feel you will need to reinstall.
This looks like a McAfee product question, although if RTS is disabled it may be a sign of malware.
