McAfee interfering with AutoCAD Properties Palette

I'm having problems with AutoCAd 2007 getting the Properties Palette to show properties. When an object is selected in Autocad the properties palette is blank. I've read this is due to interference with Mcafee  antivirus software. Is this possible? I've also read that creating an exclusion for AutoCad in Mcafee would remedy the problem. Any helpful ideas or similar experiences with solutions out there? Thanks.

Re autocad I have no idea as have not got it to try though to create an exclusion go to WEB AND EMAIL PROTECTION/firewall/Internet connections for programs and allow the autocad executable. Tick net Guard as well for the file as on.

I assume you do have the home version not enterprise if so it is in a different area and I need to move this post

Though I see on the autocad forums this suggestion

Thanks for the reply. I have found this is a McAfee AV scanning issue. I have contracted McFee a fewl times will no luck. I must turn off "real time scanning" within McAfee and ACA works fine

Of course if you do this reenable it asap after you finished

Another suggestion was have you used a registry cleaner recently?
