    WebWasher 6.9.x end of life?

      According to this: http://www.mcafee.com/us/support/support-eol-software-utilities.aspx#swu_eweb_se curity

Its supported until the end of 2013.

      Now I'm reading this: https://community.mcafee.com/docs/DOC-5054

"As of June 30, 2013, updates for the scanning engines, including the Anti-Malware engine, will no longer be available for Web Gateway version 7.0.x and earlier."

Does this mean 6.9.x will be end of life in June also? We are still in the process of upgrading to 7.3, can someone confirm whether or not we will receive signature updates out 2013?

          Jon Scholten

Web Gateway 6 will be supported until the end of 2013.

Whenever you see a notice about 7.x or 6.x, "earlier" refers to earlier versions of that specific version.

So in truth 7.0.x and earlier means

Jon is correct. The reference to the version is in regards to the main version that is referenced.

We honot published EOL dates. In case of an overall change this change will be published in addition.

The announcement is simply to make sure that customer, who are still on the EOL'ed 7.0 version are notified about the stop of updates and can react appropriately. We generally continue shipping updates for EOL'ed version for 6 month beyond the EOL date as courtesy - thus the announcement.
