I have a Sidewinder 7.0.2 placed as a edge firewall to the Wi-Fi network. The Wi-Fi Gateway is the only think between the firewall and the modem. I have allow rules for DNS for any traffic paths. When interior LAN solicits for DNS to an address across the Wi-Fi and into a another gateway that is connected (bridged) to a ISP for internet service, I get an alert. Sepcifically the audit reports "source address is not valid in source burb. the session was terminated." Is the firewall really terminating this session, or is the lack of a reciprocal DNS terminating it and the firewall just thinks this is a (red) risk? Anyone know?
