Under epo queries expand shared resources>Mcafee agent and look for "Agent communication query>
Configure the criteria as per days or weeks and run it before saving to see required resuilts. If it suits to you the SAVE it.
I'm not sure that your suggestion will address what I'm trying to do. The closest machine property available from the Agent comm query, the Last Communication, does not have a comparison parameter that meets my needs. "Is within the last", "Is not within the last" does not give me that "week count" of how long a machine has been on an ePO group.
The epo group that I'm trying to monitor is a staging group - machines cannot stay there for more than 14days or 2 weeks. But at the same time I cannot automatically move them because techs might have a valid reason for machine to stay there longer. So the query, which will be run into a task, will send out a report that will remind techs that their machines have been on an ePO group for more than 14 days.
Thanks for your responses so far.
My interpretation of the "Is between" comparison operator of the "last communication" property is that it's somewhat similar to the "Is within the last" only that you can set a specific range of date with the former while on the latter, you can specify a timeframe relative to the present. In both operators, the machine has only to communicate at least once, for the query to generate a "True" result.
In contrast, what I'm trying to query for is, has machine been on an ePO group for 2 weeks, if so, put machine on a list for a report.
I'm afraid there is not a direct possibility from an ePO query to find out how long a host has been in a particular group.
I'd not use ASCI as comparison base as ASCI failures can occur leading to false values tocompare.
Is it possible for you to use external tools, for example Excel and embedded SQL queries, to automatically monitor the length of time each host spend in that group?
