We have same problem with E6510 and the Option for USB preboot support enabled.
Without that option in policy, the machines always crash when accessing USB ports (we use smartcard token). Do you see this behaviour too?
can you check in the Bios the hard drive setting mode ATA-AHCI-Raid ON shift between them and test if still problem exisit.
McAfee - KB79059 (Last Modified: November 13, 2013)
Disable the 'Always enable pre-boot USB support' and recover the system:
At the ePO Console disable the option Always enable pre-boot USB support.
Refer the required EEPC 7 Product Guide to disable Always enable pre-boot USB support option. For EEPC 7.0 this is PD24142.
At the client perform an Emergency Boot using the EETech recovery media to allow the client to boot into Windows and perform McAfee Agent communication to the ePO server.
NOTE: Refer to the respective EEPC 7 EETech User Guide to build a matching recovery media for the version of EEPC installed on the client.
On the next system restart, the preboot authentication screen will display.
Recovery using EETech was not possible because you cannot authenticate, not with token and not with xml file on USB stick because the 7.0.0 version had a bug when initialising the USB stack on this specific Dell system.
The problem was fixed with a hotfix which was included in 7.0.2 release
What about Recovery using EETech with WinPE and LAN access for the XML-file authentication?
