M4050 and internal tap mode

From IPS Administration Guide (v7.5 rev C), page 39:

"The 10/100/1000 (FE) monitoring ports can process network traffic in full‑duplex stealth mode by enabling internal taps."

I am a little confused as Fast Ethernet is 10/100, not 10/100/1000 - is this an error?  That aside, on p41, we have:

"Sensors with GE monitoring ports require external taps."

Fair enough.  My question is, I am currently looking at the M4050 appliances, which have:

- 4 10GbE XFP
- 8 SFP (10/100/1000 copper or 1 GbE fiber)
- 1 10/100/1000 Base-T Management port

based on the fact that the monitoring ports are all Gigabit/10Gigabit, I am taking it that for taps, each of the interfaces on the M4050 will require an external tap, and the option to use an internal tap is not available (no FE ports)?  The reason I am asking for clarification is due to the statement on p39, listed above!
