We have upgraded NSP from 220.127.116.11 to NSP 18.104.22.168.
I have correct configuration pointing to Wireshark.exe in folder "c:\Program Files\Wireshark\wireshark.exe". When I invoke Analyze Packets, I get error java.io.IOException. Cannot run program "C:\Program". CreateProcess error=2, System can not found specified file.
Seems, RTTA cuts wireshark file path. Any idea to solve this ?
Wireshark itself can be run manually.
I actually just had this same problem but on 22.214.171.124
I noticed I could not grab packet details and wireshark would not load (same error). My Java version was 1.6.0_45b06. I went to a known good client and found that thier java was 1.6.0_43b01. I reverted back java on my machine and that fixed my error.
Hope that helps.
Thanks for helpful info, but I do not want to downgrade to buggy java version. Seems McAfee should retest this and correct agains current java version.
Have a nice day.
Don't downgrade. Simply install wireshark in the root of your file system and this will fix the issue. The problem is with spaces in the path to wireshark.
My install is in:
We are tracking this issue internally and should have an update soon. A KB has been created to track this issue and should be published very soon also:
A workaround for the wireshark path is to use DOS style paths such as c:\Progra~1\wireshark\wireshark.exe
If you are using a 32 bit program on a 64 bit system or vice versa this would change to c:\Progra~2\wireshark\wireshark.exe
Any updates on this issue? It doesn't appear as though KB78186 was ever published. I'm not finding it on kc.mcafee.com
It got unpublish last week for some reason. I'll follow up with the KB team.
The fixes are in 126.96.36.199 and 188.8.131.52.
