    Database lock issue

    dwatt

We seem to have difficulty frequently with our ePO database.  This is the most recent error:

      Executing the query "ALTER INDEX [IX_EPOEvents_AgentGUID] ON [dbo].[EPOEvents] REBUILD WITH ( FILLFACTOR = 90, PAD_INDEX  = OFF, STATISTICS_NORECOMPUTE  = OFF, ALLOW_ROW_LOCKS  = ON, ALLOW_PAGE_LOCKS  = ON, SORT_IN_TEMPDB = OFF, ONLINE = OFF )

" failed with the following error: "SQL Server detected a logical consistency-based I/O error: incorrect checksum (expected: 0x70b22e95; actual: 0xf70b059). It occurred during a read of page (1:31816753) in database ID 5 at offset 0x00003caf862000 in file 'X:\\Microsoft SQL Server BETA\\MSSQL.4\\MSSQL\\DATA\\ePO4_XXXXXX.mdf'.  Additional messages in the SQL Server error log or system event log may provide more detail. This is a severe error condition that threatens database integrity and must be corrected immediately. Complete a full database consistency check (DBCC CHECKDB). This error can be caused by many factors; for more information, see SQL Server Books Online.

The statement has been terminated.". Possible failure reasons: Problems with the query, "ResultSet" property not set correctly, parameters not set correctly, or connection not established correctly.

Any suggestions before I contact support?
