VSE 8.8 Update on Windows 8 (64bit), standalone, after "catalog.z verification" error

I have been trying hard trying to update my VSE 8.8 (standalone installation) on my windows 8 (64bit) machine. I have already installed PATCH 3, however when I am trying to update the VSE, I am getting this "catalog.z verification" error.

Have googled and searched this forum too, without any sucess. Shall sincerely appreciate all the help from informed members...

Cheers...

This error usually appears when target product  either not compatible with respect to OS.Also make your the MA version should be 4.6.0.3122 and VirusScan 8.8.0.1128 (Patch3).

Download and install Reposted P3, build 1128

The Repost Patch 3 package installs:

    • ü  Patch 3 to Windows 8 and Windows Server 2012 systems only.
    • ü  Patch 2 to all other supported Windows versions.

Note: Although the package includes both Patch 3 and Patch 2, only the appropriate patch is deployed to client systems, depending on the platform

If you have installe patch 3, do you see its version as 8.8.0.975 or 8.8.0.1128, if there is 8.8.0.975 then You need to remove it and reinstall reposted full package that contains both p2 and p3.

After maknig sure if you see versions are correct then download SDAT and run it.
