My platform is SBS 2003, and I've just installed MSME 7.6. It's updated successfully, and now I am trying to install the AntiSpam component. I downloaded the "Anti-Spam Activation for MSME v7.6" and ran it on the server; it tells me that "The activation off the AntiSpam feature was aborted because the feature is not available".
On the MSME console it says under Anti-Spam, "The anti-spam license has expired or is not installed". What am i doing wrong?
If you look at the extracted MSME 7.6 install set (from the zip file) - you will see an AntiSpam folder
If you run the ASAddOn Eval executable - it will detect if addon is in fact installed and available.
If there it will ask you to remove or if not will give you ability to install.
I would suggest following unistall component if there and run again to re-install.
Extract the full activation set from the Activaltions.zip you have downloaded
The run the MSMEASA.exe to activate.
Is there a way to lisence the MSME 8.0 on ePO?
When I access the AntiSpam Policies I get this message
"The anti-spam license has expired or is not installed.
Please contact McAfee or your software dealer in order to acquire an appropriate licensed copy of this software."
I have checked in the "MSME_AS_Activation_Deployment" package, but still see the above message.
Could I encourage you to open a case with support on that?? Please advise them exact versions ePO and the msme extensions involved.
