My company uses VirusScan Enterprise + AntiSpyware Enterprise 8.7.0i on Win 7 Ent 64bit. McAfee DAT version is currently 7011.0000. I have a Transcend JetFlash 210 drive, which has fingerprint detection. When I connect the drive it creates a virtual CD that contains PdtStart.exe, which I need to run to access the drive. When I run PdtStart, it creates folder and file C:\Windows\SysWOW64\FPAP-EXL580\PdtGuide.exe. Running that file enables me to use the fingerprint detection.
Or that's how it works in ideal world... unfortunately McAfee identifies PdtGuide.exe as "GenericTRA-AE!4E148E22A2A6" and deletes it. This appears as a false detection. What should I do to get this verified and corrected?
Moved from Community Help to VSE for better attention.
Right... and then I found the answer... except for the instructions in https://community.mcafee.com/docs/DOC-1041 are over a year out of date... current instructions are in https://kc.mcafee.com/corporate/index?page=content&id=KB71637
Used GetSusp utility and mailed firstname.lastname@example.org. Let's hope...
I deleted that old document. Good luck.
This one is the current one on submission to the labs: http://www.mcafee.com/us/mcafee-labs/resources/how-to-submit-sample.aspx

Well it's a holiday plus they usually take a few days anyway. If it was submitted exactly as per instructions then you should at least have received an immediate auto-response.
