I have a deployment task that installs VSE and Agent, but I deploy the agent via a GPO script. For some reason right now, my clients are not executing the deployment task. I send a wake up to clients and force policy and task update and the task isn't sent. If I make change to the task, such as tick a checkbox and uncheck it then click save. If I do a wake up on the client again it will see that the task was modified and send it to the client. THus the client gets VSE installed. What's the cause of this? How do I get this task to execute no matter what?
Sounds like your task is a run immediatly/once type.
By editing it your system thinks its a new task and then starts it again.
I have a daily task on all systems to install agent and VSE to ensure they are all kept up to date.
