Scan Engine crush when FASL update is sent

    Avantlord

      Hi everyone,

I just reinstalled one of my foundstones and tried to connect a scan engine to my fully functionalfoundstone system, but when i tried to scan with it, it shows no results, so iresearch why and it seems to be because the FASL scripts are not updated, they are shown as version 1.0, so i tried to force script update on theconfiguration manager but every time I perform this or the scan engine ask for it the complete node disconnect and no update is performed, then it ask again for the script update over and over again with the same results, this are someimages of what’s happening:

I already try to run updates on the scan engine host with same results.

Thanks in advance for any help.

      Regards,

          Hi Avantlord,

Sounds like maybe a corrupt FSL Package.  You can try the following, but if it's still a problem after trying the below, you should open a Service Request:

1.Stop the Foundstone Configuration Management Agent and Server services:
          a.Click Start, Select Services.
b.Select Foundstone Configuration Management Agent (on the Engine).
          c.Select Stop.
          d.Select Foundstone Configuration Management Server.
          e.Select Stop.

2.Rename the following files on the FCM Server <installation directory>/Foundstone/Configuration directory:
          - fcm.version.cache.ORIGINAL
          - server.config.xml.ORIGINAL

          3. Locate and delete the potentially corrupt FSL Packages on the Engine:
          - <Installation Directory>\Foundstone\FCM\AgentTemp
          - <Installation Directory>\Foundstone\FCM\CachedFASLScripts.zip

4.Restart the Foundstone Configuration management Agent and Server Services:
          a.Click Start, Services.
b.Select Foundstone Configuration Management Agent (on the Engine).
          c.Select Start.
          d.Select Foundstone Configuration Management Server.
          e.Select Start.

          I hope it helps!
          Cathy
