The product does self-validation, and logs events to tell you when something is wrong. The event log message you saw is telling you there is a 3rd party product (or malware) installed that has injected code into our processes.
This is potentially disastrous for you, if it's malware.
If it's a 3rd party app, then there is information in the knowledgebase on how to go about trusting this software to interact with ours.
For the first issue you describe, the error code is a standard windows error code.
hex:9a = Dec:154
NET HELPMSG 154
> The volume label you entered exceeds the label character limit of the target file system.
So... what exactly did you name your disk volumes?
The error code could be erroneous, but we should assume it's correct to begin with.
1.I think Error is like "Scan64.exe failed to start error code 0x0000009a" it comes on disktop when i select any folder or drive to scan with VSE.
2.If I open VSe console and try to start Ful scan it never starts, no eroor just silent.
3.If I disables "Access Protection" then everything works fine.
4.When I disable Access Protection and start any scan in event viewr I see something like"**\mcshield.exe contains signed but untrusted code and was privilliged to do operations on mcafee driver.
5.If i disable "Prevent hooking of McAfee processes", it works fine.
6.I have two partions, "c and D, C has one hidden Recovery volume from sony vaio.
I upgraded to windows 8 and didnt formated my recovery volume in C drive.
Now I have disabled above hooking rule and things are working fine, but i dont think so that it is the solution.if there is any malware, how can I catch this process from malware which is hooking with mcafee, and why VSE is not even removing that malware.
