Sometimes updates, especially ones involving an upgrade to the software, don't go smoothly, for whatever reason.
in this case it's best to uninstall everything via Control Panel.
Then run the MCPR cleanup tool, listed under Useful Links at the top of this page, reboot and then reinstall from the online account.
If you mess up firewall settings you can always reset the firewall to default.
(Open SecurityCenter, Click Web and Email Protection then Firewall and click restore Defaults).
Thanks, but when I restarted the computer the problem "fixed itself". Do you still recommend me to reinstall?
No don't bother. I assumed you already had tried rebooting as I've had that happen here too. OK so problem is solved?
