Safeboot drive encryption problem - drive not formatted

      Hello,

I have problem with disk encryption.

Many years ago I have turned on disk encryption (HP protecttools) on one of disk's partitions. After that, everytime during boot procedure I had login screen "Safeboot v.5.0" and after typing password into "drive encryption logon" window, Windows XP was starting and I had my both disk partitions (C,D) available.

A few days ago I had problem with audio driver, and after many trials of solving problem I have decided to repair Winows XP by installing it once again on existing installation. Installation was successfull, except one problem: I cannot see D drive partition any more, bu t I need this data. D: is listed in My Computer as drive, but when I try to use it I have message "Disk not formatted". i do not now what to do, any drivers needed?

      Machine is: HP Compaq 8510p

      Best ragrds,
