"FrmInst.exe /Remove=Agent" means removing only the ePO managed component from McAfee Agent but doens't uninstall McAfee Agent (unless there's no other McAfee product installed on the computer) and "FrmInst.exe /forceuninstall" completeley removes McAfee Agent.
Thanks, Laszlo G!
I'm sorry, but could you check my understanding as below?
When uninstalling McAfee Agent from the PC that installs McAfee Agent and other McAfee products(VSE and Endpoint Encryption and more), both using "FrmInst.exe /Remove=Agent" and using "/forceuninstall can uninstall McAfee Agent.
On the other hand,
When uninstalling McAfee Agent from the PC that installs McAfee Agent only, using "FrmInst.exe /forceuninstall" can uninstall McAfee Agent, but using "Remove=Agent" cannot uninstall McAfee Agent.
Is it right?
Sorry for my bad explanation, I will try to explain it a bit more clear.
"FrmInst.exe /forceuninstall" will always uninstall McAfee Agent (on a managed or unmanaged computer, it takes no difference)
"FrmInst.exe /Remove=Agent" will first remove the epo-managed component so the computer becomes an unmanaged one but still with McAfee Agent on it. At second instance it will look for any other McAfee product on the computer, if there's no other McAfee product then it will uninstall McAfee Agent but if a McAfee product that needs McAfee Agent is still installed on the computer then it won't uninstall it (VirusScan needs a mcAfee Agent to get DAT updates even if unmanaged).
Hope it helps.
