Sorry can you enlarge on what you are wanting
Mrcmd what is that I assume a program that looks at running command prompts on remote Pcs? I do not use it so cannot answer better will ask the other mods? ( Ok see it is your user name)
None of your registry items are in my 12.1 version so is yours 11.6? 12.1 does not use dats perse more engine versions. The dat number can still be found in the folder miguelgrado gave though but you cannot manually update dats as you could in 11.6.
My appologize for any inconvenience happened..
Since I'm dealing to manage and maintain around 80 servers and more than 300 Window$ OS, I'm in progress to simplify the process of..
Check for DAT version,
Check for DAT date,
Generate symptoms while DAT is unexpected..
So far, I have "Machines_List.txt" like this.. (absolutely it's not a real hostname)
Then, I'm using script (check-mcafee-dat.cmd) to browse necessary information and (next) summarize them into TXT reporting file..
for /f %%m in ('type Machines_List.txt') do (
reg.exe query "\\%%m\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\McAfee\AVEngine" /v "AVDatVersion"|find "AVDatVersion" /i
reg.exe query "\\%%m\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\McAfee\AVEngine" /v "AVDatDate"|find "AVDatDate" /i
I really appreciate for any availability of recommended software (developed by McAfee) for those purpose above. Thank you.
Well the processes for the home products, which we are talking about here, are totally different from the Enterprise product. so am still wondering what it is you are talking about..
If you wish to discuss VirusScan Enterprise or the Corporate setup at all please start a new thread here: https://community.mcafee.com/community/business/system/vse
There is no such process for the home products, sorry.
