My environment mostly consists of McAfee agent 18.104.22.1689 and VSE 22.214.171.1241
More and more I'm seeing machines suddenly showing 'N/A' in EPO where the DAT and Engine version should be displayed. In the vast majority of cases, an upgrade to VSE8.8.0 fixes the problem. We are rolling out VSE8.8.0 but I'm fighting all these problem 8.5.0 machines that aren't displaying the versions. These machines show as 'Unprotected'.
Does anyone know why this is happening please? I'd like to nip this in the bud and concentrate my efforts on machines which really aren't protected! I'm concerned we're doing something that's causing the daily influx of this problem.

Brilliant. Thanks for the links. I'll give it a go and report back.
Now who knows how to run a SuperDAT using Psexec...SILENTLY?
I'm no corporate expert but you know that VSE8.5 and ASE8.5 have been off support for 1 year now so it isn't surprising that there are issues?
End of Support (EOS) December 31, 2011. See KB69579
IMPORTANT: As an exception to the above statement, see KB66079 on support for VSE 8.5i on Windows 2000
I see you are rolling out 8.8 anyway, but thought I'd best point that out in case you weren't aware.
