We currently have a virtual ePO 4.6.4, dual core processor with 4GB RAM, with a local database running VirusScan and EEFF for 600 users. As per the documentation, the WCF can be installed on a separate server. Is it advisable to install all DLP components on the same host as the ePO or should it be separated? Thanks.
I haven't run across a situation where the WCF service NEEDS to be installed on a separate server. If you feel your server is underpowered and would like to install DLPWCF on a different server, you have that as an option.
Regarding the evidence and whitelist folder, does it consume a lot of disk space? I know this probably depends on the policies defined and the reporting settings, but the documentation makes no recommendations on disk size for this. Thanks.
Whitelist is relatively small.
For the evidence, yes this can become large based off your setting to collect evidence. Default evidence size is limited to 25MB a piece so yes, you could fill up a drive quickly if you misconfigure your policy.
