I am attempting to run a program but McAfee appears to be blocking it.
Here is the info from the Firelog: Blocked Incoming TCP
I am running:
McAfee VirusScan Enterprise + AntiSpyware Enterprise 8.8.0
Host Intrusion Prevention 7.0.0
Can anyone advise on how to run this program? Do I need to somehow add the .exe file to a McAfee safe list?
Moved provisionally from Malware Discussions to Business > Firewall Enterprise for better attention.
I'm not sure - there doesn't seem to be any suggestion that the original poster is using Firewall Enterprise.
It looks to me more like a client firewall issue - I don't know if it is referred to as a 'firewall' in VSE or goes by a different name. Maybe that's the Host Intrusion Prevention element?
If there's a more suitable area for this I'll move it gladly to help the OP.
Thanks George. Can you provide insight into the technical way to create this exception? I previously combed through the HIPS settings for quite a while and could not properly setup the exception

I can give you the major steps because I don't have access to a server that has HIPS to give you the step-by-step
Log into epo and go the the assigned policy to that machine/group. Select the Host IPS firewall group and from there, select Firewall Rules. Add a rule here (it's a step by step process) that has any source, any destination, any protocol, filter the desired application and mark the rule as allowed traffic. make sure you move the rule to the top level in the Firewall rules so traffic won't get blocked by a superior rule.
Hope this helps
