I have several users on my PC.

One of the users have been infected by a virus (polis virus) and I need to find out how to remove it. I have done a Mcafee scan but it doesnt show up in the scan

It is a so called ransomeware

Don't click anything.  Power off.  Reboot into Safe Mode and attempt to initiate System Restore to before all this occurred.   If successful get rid of the infected restore point by turning System Restore off/apply/OK then on again.

No regular antivirus will stop ransomware unfortunately.  Stinger might remove it and is linked in the last link in my signature, if not try Malwarebytes Free, also linked there.

If none of these are successful then please supply more information if possible such as a full name of the screen you see or a screenshot.

Malwarebytes found the virus and disinfected.  How come my McAfee doesnt stop the virus?

None of the antivirus softwares on the market can do much with these things because of the way they work and the fact that they mutate almost daily.  They need specialist tools such as Malwarebytes and others that work in a different way or techniques such as an immediate System Restore.     McAfee Stinger may have caught it, it's such a specialized tool.   See the last link in my signature.
