    ePO 4.6.3/4.6.4 - Major Memory Leak (SqlServr.exe)

    SteveKaye@Baird

We've just upgraded our environment to ePO 4.6.3 and I noticed that the SqlServr.exe process was consuming way too much memory and causing our agents to sporadically be unable to communicate with the ePO server.

      ePO 4.6.x Server Specs:

      • Windows Server 2003 SP2
      • SQL Server 2005 SP3

      The server.log shows:

      20121012160821      E        #05992         mod_epo       Memory info: physical memory 130/3325 mbytes, virtual memory 2792/3071 mbytes

20121012160821      E        #05992         mod_epo       Server out of memory, cannot process request

The McAfee Agent Monitor shows the problem as well:

I found an article pertaining to an Apache memory leak so I applied patch 4 for ePO 4.6, but I am still seeing the same behavior.

Has anyone else seen this?  I'm going to open a case with McAfee pretty quick because this is causing us problems.
